Boost your immune system this cold and flu season with the healing powers of citrus, ginger, garlic, and honey. This recipe has been brewed at Golden Door for over 20 years and has saved many of us from the dreaded cold and flu.
Ingredients
3 garlic cloves, chopped
5cm piece of fresh ginger, chopped
4 lemons, thinly sliced
1 cinnamon stick
3 tablespoons honey
Method
Bring 2 litres of water to a boil in a pan. Add garlic, ginger, lemon slices, and cinnamon to the boiling water and allow to simmer for 20 minutes.
Turn off heat and allow to stand for 30 mins before straining. Drink warm or cold. This tea will last from about 1 week in the fridge.
Note: If the tea is too strong for your taste, you can add m
ore water.
